Privacy Policy

Roundly is an iOS app for keeping track of job applications. You do not need an account. This policy explains which data is processed, by whom and why, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Your applications stay yours

Applications, companies, roles, contacts, notes, documents, salary details and STAR stories are stored only on your device and in your own private iCloud (CloudKit private database). The developer has no access to them, and there is no server of our own that receives this data.

3. Practice recordings

If you practise interview answers, the recording is stored only in the app on your device. It is not uploaded to iCloud or anywhere else, and is deleted automatically after 30 days. The app asks for microphone access only when you start practising.

4. Saving jobs from other apps

When you share a job to Roundly, the share extension reads the link and text you shared to fill in the role, company and deadline on your device. If no text is included, the app may load that one page directly from the website you shared, which sees your IP address as with any website visit.

5. What data I do collect

The only thing I collect is anonymous usage statistics via AppHQ, the developer's own backend:

  • a randomly generated install_id (UUID). It is not an advertising identifier (IDFA) and is reset when you reinstall the app;
  • app version, iOS version and country;
  • anonymous events, only as a name, count or type: onboarding finished, application saved (how: manual, link or share), stage changed (which stage), follow-up email drafted (tone), interview prepared, practice started, job-search log exported (format), Pro screen viewed, Pro started (which product), widget added.

Company names, roles, names, notes, links, email addresses, amounts and document names are never sent. These statistics cannot be traced back to a person.

6. Unemployment benefits (UWV)

If you switch on the job-seeking log, Roundly counts your activities per 4-week period on your device and can export an overview. Roundly does not send anything to UWV or any other organisation; you submit it yourself.

7. Purchases

Roundly Pro is handled by Apple (StoreKit). Your payment details go to Apple and never to the developer.

8. App Store privacy label

In the App Store, Roundly is listed as Data Not Linked to You (usage data and diagnostics). No tracking.

9. Your rights

You manage your data yourself, on your device and in iCloud. Delete an application in the app, or delete the app and its iCloud data (Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage). The developer does not keep any personal data that he can view or delete. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Roundly is een iOS-app om sollicitaties bij te houden. Je hebt geen account nodig. Deze verklaring legt uit welke gegevens er worden verwerkt, door wie en waarom, volgens de Algemene verordening gegevensbescherming (AVG).

2. Je sollicitaties blijven van jou

Sollicitaties, bedrijven, functies, contactpersonen, notities, documenten, salarisgegevens en STAR-verhalen staan alleen op je toestel en in je eigen privé-iCloud (CloudKit private database). De ontwikkelaar heeft daar geen toegang toe en er is geen eigen server die deze gegevens ontvangt.

3. Oefenopnames

Oefen je gespreksantwoorden, dan staat de opname alleen in de app op je toestel. Hij gaat niet naar iCloud of ergens anders heen en wordt na 30 dagen automatisch gewist. De app vraagt pas om de microfoon als je begint met oefenen.

4. Vacatures bewaren vanuit andere apps

Deel je een vacature naar Roundly, dan leest de share-extensie de gedeelde link en tekst om functie, bedrijf en deadline op je toestel in te vullen. Komt er geen tekst mee, dan kan de app die ene pagina rechtstreeks ophalen bij de website die je deelde; die ziet dan, zoals bij elk websitebezoek, je IP-adres.

5. Welke gegevens ik wel verzamel

Het enige wat ik verzamel is anonieme gebruiksstatistiek via AppHQ, de eigen backend van de ontwikkelaar:

  • een willekeurig gegenereerde install_id (UUID). Dit is geen advertentie-ID (IDFA) en wordt opnieuw aangemaakt bij herinstallatie;
  • app-versie, iOS-versie en land;
  • anonieme gebeurtenissen, alleen als naam, telling of soort: onboarding klaar, sollicitatie bewaard (hoe: handmatig, link of delen), fase gewijzigd (welke), navraagmail opgesteld (toon), gesprek voorbereid, oefenen gestart, sollicitatieoverzicht geëxporteerd (formaat), Pro-scherm bekeken, Pro gestart (welk product), widget toegevoegd.

Bedrijfsnamen, functies, namen, notities, links, e-mailadressen, bedragen en documentnamen worden nooit verstuurd. Deze statistiek is niet herleidbaar tot een persoon.

6. Uitkering (UWV)

Zet je het overzicht voor de sollicitatieplicht aan, dan telt Roundly je activiteiten per periode van 4 weken op je toestel en kan het een overzicht exporteren. Roundly stuurt niets naar het UWV of een andere organisatie; dat doe je zelf.

7. Aankopen

Roundly Pro loopt via Apple (StoreKit). Je betaalgegevens gaan naar Apple en nooit naar de ontwikkelaar.

8. Privacylabel in de App Store

In de App Store staat Roundly als Data Not Linked to You (gebruiksdata en diagnose). Geen tracking.

9. Je rechten

Je beheert je gegevens zelf, op je toestel en in iCloud. Verwijder een sollicitatie in de app, of verwijder de app en de iCloud-gegevens (Instellingen › je naam › iCloud › Beheer opslag). De ontwikkelaar bewaart geen persoonlijke gegevens die hij kan inzien of verwijderen. Je hebt het recht een klacht in te dienen bij de Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
